ESA contact numbers

Contact telephone numbers for claiming employment and support allowance (ESA), contacting the DWP about an existing ESA claim and contacting Atos about a work capability assessment (WCA).

Note: All 0345 numbers can also be called using 0845 from a landline for the cost of local rate calls.  You will need your NI number and date of birth to discuss an existing employment and support allowance or incapacity benefit claim.

Problems with ESA?

Do you need help making your way through the chaotic ESA system?

Is it vital that you get the correct decision?

Whether you are:

  • making a claim
  • being transferred from IB to ESA,
  • waiting for a medical (work capability assessment)
  • asking for a mandatory reconsideration or
  • lodging an appeal

our detailed and widely acclaimed guides, written by a barrister and a welfare rights worker, can make a dramatic difference.
