The decision to do a paper review will be dependant on your providing enough detail in and with your ESA50, they can only do one if they believe they have sufficient information.

Is it the Ash House, East Sussex address for Maximus for home visit/paper based assessment request my doctors have to write to? I am thinking of getting this ready in anticipation of doing an ESA claim. Does it matter if these letters are dated a bit before I start a claim, only I never know how long the doctors will take to do the letters. Do they need to mention DWP? Do Maximus not do telephone assessments?

I've no idea, contact them first;

It doesn't matter if they are dated in advance of the claim.

They don't need to mention the DWP, assessment decision are made by Maximus.

We haven't seen any telephone assessment for several years, it's not a route you want to go down, unless they have changed significantly.

Thank you. I feel so awkward keep hassling the doctors for letters. I know I will not be able to go to the job centre because of my m h conditions. I went once and could never face it again, and even missed some time ago something like 70 pounds a week for 6 months because I felt I could not go in. I am wondering whether even though I have not commenced the claim, when I ask for the letters re home visit assessment request whether I should ask for a second letter, to dwp, supporting how I would not be able to attend the job centre. I know this is a bit premature and I might only get nat credits and anyway I don t know if I would be placed in the support group if ESA is due to me. I have to hassle my doctors for arranging special delivery of my letters because I cant collect them , so wondering if I could do the letters all in one go, ready for when need them. Do you think the letter re not being able to attend the job centre is too premature this early on?

A letter not to have to attend at the Job Centre is not going to get you into the Support Group, the requirement is far more detailed than this, so you should check this in the guides before you approach your GP, however, I do think it is a good idea mentioning both requirements when you see them.
