I'm sorry you are finding the waiting so stressful! :( Have you consulted your GP/psychiatrist (as appropriate) about your increased anxiety?

Ha Ha! (hysterical laughter)

Had an appointment with my Psychiatrist today but when I got there was told he was sick. In fact he had been for weeks but no one had bothered to tell me. Unbelievable!

Having been away for a week I arrived back home to another brown envelope. It was my PIP award decision letter which was dated 4 August, four weeks and two days after my assessment. The decision was, as I thought it would be, an endorsement of the assessors report. Standard care and mobility. Having had higher mobility under DLA I now await contact from Motability asking for their car back. I believe that I should qualify for enhanced mobility and have written my Mandatory Reconsideration request challenging both descriptors under 'Moving Around'. It will be posted today and we move onto yet another stage and yet another wait for a decision.

As I need a car to get to work I have been proactive in securing a replacement car but am now wondering if my MR is successful before Motability reclaim their car whether I will be left with two cars! Both of which will need to be paid for!!

I think it unlikely that the MR would be completed and successful before you have to give back your vehicle - although S*d's law could well come into effect here!

It's now almost three weeks since I posted my MR to DWP and a full 19 weeks since the whole process began. How many more weeks to the end I wonder. Meanwhile, I have been fortunate to secure a replacement car for the one that Motability are going to take away on the 20th September. Life goes on and, strangely, I seem to be in an oasis of calm at the moment. Perhaps that's because having had to take control of the situation I feel empowered. I have sorted this out, not the DWP or Motability and, for the moment, there is nothing more to do whilst I await the DWP's response to my MR.

I must add that Motability have been fantastic whenever I've spoken to them on the phone.
