brad72 wrote: Hia was just wondering were I stood with my esa claim, I am currantly waiting for a decision on wether I need a f2f appointment, being transferd from sda and income support. My question is if I am put in a group I dont think I should be in and I ask for a reconsideration will I get the rate of esa whilst im waiting or still continue to get my money as I am now. Thanks
If you are found Fit for Work then then the only way to receive any income during the MR stage is for you to claim JSA, if you go onto appeal then you can receive the ESA Assessment rate.
If you are placed in the WRAG and think you should be in the Support Group, then you will continue to receive the WRAG rate during MR and Appeal. While you are in the WRAG you will be subject to WFIs and WRA as your JC+ advisor sees fit, failing to participate can lead to your benefit being sanctioned.

brad72 wrote: Hi, can you give me some advice please, my esa 50 form was received over 16 weeks ago and I have phoned them and they say it is still with there doctors, can it really be taking this long for them to decide if I need a f2f appointment, I am on sda and income support at present so my income is not being affected but the waiting is no good for my anxiety. Also I have sent added evidance but surprised to say they havnt received it all though I sent it off over 10 weeks ago I could really do with sending my up to date seizure dairy but dont want it to go missing again any advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.
There appears to be considerable variance, some members are reporting only a couple of weeks and others like you are waiting for months, unfortunately, despite the number of posts we deal with each day, we only see a very small number of the claims being processed at any point in time, so we can only give a best guess of how the system is operating.

No, you can only be found Fit for Work if you attend a face to face, so it's WRAG or Support Group.
