Also I phoned to see which esa I will get and they told me income related but im sure becouse of being on sda it would of being contribution based esa with possible income top up, they have also told me I will get an extra 29.00 a week for being in the wrag but again I was told that my money would stay the same, I would very much appreciate it if you could clarify this for me as im really confused thanks.
Your SDA will be converted to Contribution Based ESA, depending on your circumstances you may receive a top-up of Income Related ESA. The total amount of ESA you receive cannot be less that what you were receiving under SDA and Income Support, if the calculated ESA amount is less then they will make it up with a Transitional Payment.
As I understand it the SDA rates were roughly equivalent to the ESA Personal Allowance, the £29 they mention is the WRAG component.
So they will calculate what your ESA(CB) payments should be, then they will calculate your ESA(IR).
If the ESA(IR) is more than the ESA(CB) then you will receive the difference as an ESA(IR) top-up.
They will then compare your ESA to what you receiving on SDA+IS and if the latter was more then they will also pay you a Transitional Payment, although I think this is unlikely.
Be aware that as you are in the WRAG your ESA(CB) is only payable for 365 days after whch you should be eligible for ESA(IR).

brad72 wrote: Hia could you help me with my question as I have been told so many different things. I am in the wrag group of esa and believe I should be in the support group. I am thinking of putting in a late reconsideration as I never received my paperwork from them telling me how many points I scored and for what, a lady on the phone from esa told me last week that if I did go through with the reconsideration I would either be put into the support group or stay in the wrag. But cab have said that I could also loose my benefit alltogether would very much appreciate it if you could clear this up as not sure what to do if that is the case. Many thanks
An MR re-makes the original Decision so it is possible for you to lose your award, it does not happen very often, but it does happen.
To be placed in the Support Group you will need to show that you meet one or more of the SG Descriptors, can you show this?
Although you can make a late request for an MR, you will need to provide Good Cause for the request being late. If this is not accepted then you cannot take the matter further.
Have a look at the ESA MR & Appeal guide for more details and the ESA section has template letters that you can use to make the request, although you will need to add your reasons for the request being late,
