Do you go out? Where do you go? What do you do when you are out?

on a previous ESA50 form i mentioned that i had carpal tunnel syndrome, but since then i had a MRI and the consultant said the pain was coming from the prolasped discs in my neck ,i did not put the previous info(carpal tunnel syndrome) in my up to date ESA50 form,so she had to get that info from a previous form ,dont understand why she was reading info from an old form

Hi Gordon i dont go out any more because of the discomfort and pain i suffer ,will this go against me ,i used to socialise but it just became to painful and the amount of tablets i would have to take to manage the pain would not be worth it , i spend most of my time in the house ,apart from a Saturday morning when i go to the shop with my husband to do some shopping 20/30 mins ,

Helen

I'm afraid it is a double whammy!

You say that you don't socialise because of pain, unfortunately "socialising" is part of the mental health tests and obviously pain is part of the physical section, so you won't score points for this.

Your going shopping with your husband will definitely count against you (unless you are pushed around in a wheelchair or use a mobility scooter), if the DWP are aware of this.
