Ongoing PIP Awarded was created by jony
Hi, I have just rung the DWP to find out my PIP award details, thankfully I have been awarded enhanced rate daily living & enhanced mobility, when I asked about the length of the award the call centre advisor seemed quite shocked and said my award was ongoing, I thought a lifetime award was for ten years, has anyone else heard of an ongoing award like this, the lady from the DWP started laughing because she had not heard of an ongoing award with no reassessment date, she was very pleased for me bless her.

PIP is still very new but we have already seen a few 'ongoing' awards and I expect we will see more as time passes. However, don't forget that PIP can be reassessed at any time for any, or no, reason.

Well done jony and congratulations on your PIP award, as a matter of interest
did you have a HCP assessment, or was a decision made on your completed PIP2 form and evidence provided ie: Paper Assessment/Decision

Hi Bob, I had a f2f in April with Atos at home, didn't really provide a lot of recent evidence as my conditions are pain management only, and my accident happened years ago, and also monitoring by consultant, I really think that pip has a large element of luck of the draw, my Atos health professional was a nurse of some 30 years, and I think the assessment report that I requested a copy of was pretty fair, I think you have to be honest with them, but I was also polite and firm, I told her I had seen the dispatches program and was not very confident of the DWP's service providers being able to carry out a fair and unbiased assessment, she told me that she was nothing like that awful man, her words, and she took every case individually, I do also believe that the DM goes by the HP's report and the medical evidence is secondary, but also can be important in some cases.
