Replied by Dollydee on topic sent my ESA50 form for 9th of sept 16 deadline
Hi Willow

I too had not heard from sending my esa50 back in Feb this year. Always been in sg since changing from Ib all those years ago. Then a few weeks ago i got a phone call saying they need to come do a home visit ??? I managed to postpone making an appointment until I can get more info as to my rights about the 'home visit'.
But I have been worried too about the "not knowing & and the no response " . It's not fair they should at least acknowledge receipt of the form.

Hi Tracey,

I have merged your query with the previous topic regarding your ESA as we ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one place. You will find this easily in future if you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now. Alternatively you can click on your username (in blue when you are logged into the forum) and it will bring up a list of all your previous messages.

The DWP Decision Makers have no medical background so all ESA50 froms are sent to Maximus for assessment. Therefore you cannot draw any conclusions about whether or not you will have a face2face appointment.

Please reply to this when you have further questions or comments about your ESA and we will do our best to help :)

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly. The advisor told me to hold she would have to go into their system and it takes a minute then she said it had been passed over to the assessment centre and that they would be in touch by letter with an appointment , I thought when you received the white envelope with the ESA50 booklet that it went to the assessment centre then to the decision maker.

The DWP have been changing the process recently so that claim forms are send back to them, scanned and then sent on to the Assessment Provider. The DM will still not see until an assessment, paper or face to face is done.

Hi ,

This waiting has my anxiety level through the roof . I received a brown envelope last Tuesday and thought thank god a decision has finally been made only to realise it was only the yearly march update saying payment would be changing slightly for the coming year . How can you get an update while still waiting on a a decision from the ESA50 questionnaire from September 2016 . When I call them for an update she asks me to hold as she has to go on to another system , then comes back and tells me I have to just wait until they have a date for f2f and asks what phone number I would like contacted on . Do they realise they are causing unessesery stress or is that what they want . Is this wait normal ? I thought Maximus were caught up on their back log , when I sent it back last time may 2013 ) it only took 6 weeks .
In sept 2016 ESA50 they only ask for dates you can't attend in the next 12 weeks , are you meant to start sending them your weekly schedule if you have appointments ? This is making me crazy .........
