thanks for your comments - yes my report was equally insulting and laughable in places where they had clutched at such random straws for their reasoning that i was 'ok'
such as being able to drive 'under a mile to the medical' which incidentally is next door to my dogs vet so a route i already know well and am familiar with, classing as a myriad of proof of abilities for so many questions such as "Managing therapy or monitoring a health condition" "Reading and understanding signs, symbols and words" "Making budgeting decisions" and of course "Planning and following journey", but it was the quoting exerpts from my psychiatric reports out of context and twisting them to fit the criteria they wanted which was lowest. It was like reading a story from a tabloid on a celebrity and seeing how it could be twisted and contorted out of context and realising for the first time how that feels!!
It is also against the whole British legal system where you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but in this system you are guilty until proven innocent - ie a liar until you can prove otherwise. Horrendous when the section of society they are picking on are disabled but we have our government making these cut backs to thank for that. The PIP team are just clutching at straws to kick off whoever they can however they can. Unfortunately we are just a by product of this and the subsequent effect it has already had on my life, health and of course finances are already tenfold.

if they cant be bothered to read it that says more about their practices and how unfair they are than it being my fault as i provided "too much info" in my defence??
as i said if they wont read it appeal panel will have to

It is not our opinion that you should only go with bullet points, although I would encourage members to restrain any inclinations to write "War and Peace".

well since receiving my MR refusal at the end of May I had to call them - await a call back which was from someone enquiring my needs on 7/06 who said someone would be in touch to explain whether my MR was read - I had to chase this yesterday after waiting a week, and now today 16/06 i had my call back from someone who said they had "spoken with the decision maker" not the decision maker who made decision on my case, who said "he assures me he has read your evidence and still came to the same conclusion". On my contesting that the letter doesnt mention anything about my letter or all the points i raised in detail, he just said yes they can send out a bog standard letter with no explanation. - I thought this wasnt the case? and they had to explain their reasoning? And also that i was entitled to hear from the DM themselves as to how they came to their decision. I asked this and was told he is "too busy doing other MRs to go on the phones". Surely this isn't allowed? I also brought up the point i had asked for a different DM to the original choice, and again the DM on the phone (not the one who did my case) said i can pretty much assure you that it was someone different (!??!) I just have to take his word for it?? He then looked up my original MR decision to try and prove it was signed with a different name, and then had to try palm me off when he found no one had signed the original one so couldnt compare to the name on this one. This is all highly unprofessional in any business let alone this one that affects peoples lives and income as it does.

All they want me to do is to go to appeal and take it off their hands, which i now have no choice but to do, but as my issues are mental health based and this whole medical and subsequent MR has taken its toll, I am not up to a hearing in person so it will have to be paper.
I am just gobsmacked I followed all the advice on this site to a T and it hasn't made a blind bit of difference? i thought i had rights in not just appealing their decisions on each point but all the flaws in the medical itself i brought up. I am positive they have not read or given my appeal any consideration as they couldnt just give me a blanket 0 points for each point again with no explanation. I am sure its just a fob off to hope i will crawl away and they get their numbers of claimants down, and that sure is hell all i feel like doing.
I have been crying all afternoon at my options of needing to go back to work as i cannot survive on the low rate of ESA i have been left with, but knowing I am not ready for work both mentally and physically. This is the joke of it all - i now have physical ailments that i didnt have when i was awarded 12 points of PIP, and now i struggle to walk i am down to 0??
Is any of this appealing actually worthwhile? Because I feel like its like pouring your soul to a brick wall.

Oh and to add insult to injury - after taking so long to clear this matter up and get back to me, they said oh and you have 1 month from the date of the letter to put in your appeal - which was 29 May so once more they have used up half my month and I have 11 days left to get it in

I'm sorry but the MR process is far from perfect on a good day and it's not usually a good day!

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the form you need to complete (SSCS1) and instructions on how to complete it, you don't need to go into detail at this time so iot should not be an issue your submitting the request in time.

hi cazzy ,
i realy feel for you and know excactly how frustrated and angry u prob are feeling right now,,ime still waiting to hear back from MR and ime doubtfull mine will be succsefull ,, it disscusting how the sick are treated in this country ,u basicaly are like u said banging your head against a brick wall, and with already suffering mental health issue all of this doesnt help ,,, i do feel the goverment think mental health problems isnt a debilitating illness,. ime virtualy housbound due to agraphobia ,have severe anxiety and depresion plus oestio athritus ,but apparantly to them i can manage all of the descriptors and had 4 points for mobility ,, whatever you do dont give up though uve got this far so take it to appeal ,you have nothing to lose by going but could turn out possitive for you ,, :), if i could ask also ,after sending in the MR how long dd it take for you to hear back from them ,it only been 2 weeks since sending mine and by reading forums on here seems theres no actual time scale either ,
