Can I ask if there has been any feedback from members regarding the transfer of DLA to PIP for the over 60 but under 65 after the cut off date in 2013.

I have had a look on the forums but cannot find much information.

I am interested to know how many people in this band have been transferred effortlessly or with difficulty.

The reason I am asking is: I heard from a person who works at DWP, that although the cut off was 65 in January 2013 the DWP is only calling under 60's at the present time.

We have certainly seen a number of members invited to claim PIP who were over 65 when at the time!

I am 66 and will be 67 in four months time, I am on DLA and DWP wrote to inform me that my DLA was ending, and I would have apply for PIP.
Completed the Phone Interview and the PIP 2 form, had a assessment
and now waiting for a decision. Many People over 60 yrs and 65 yrs have gone through the same procedure. So I think your contact or friend at the
DWP is incorrect.

A friend of mine had his PIP medical last week he was just 3 months outside of the cut off age for PIP, I'm not sure how old he is but he is at least a couple of years older than me; I am almost 64. I know I will be contacted very soon about my claim;I am DLA indefinite award.

I was 3 weeks short of the cut off date, not quite 65 in April 2013.

I have just been assessed for PIP and got the decision a week before my 68th birthday. Enhanced for both.

I was of the understanding if you are on DLA AND OVER 65 you stay on DLA so I am very surprised to hear this unless you were only on DLA for a fixed term and were due an assessment
