Hi Madmanx,

The most likely reason I can think of why a HCP would ask if you have a mobile phone, is for the learning tasks descriptor.

I've just won an appeal last week. I stated on my appeal form that I wish to be paid assessment rate whilst appealing, as the guides advise you to. When I received a letter from HMCTS confirming that the appeal has been received, I sent the Med3 (sorry, I don't like calling them fit notes) and phoned the DWP and was told that payments will automatically be reinstated as soon as they receive notice from HMCTS of the appeal.

It took 5 days for them to receive notice and my backdated payment was received the following week.

It does make sense to prepare for an appeal even before the assessment, as I did, but I very much hope you get an award without the need to proceed to appeal.

Good luck,

Derek

Hi i had my f2f, two weeks ago, today I had a missed call on my mobile but number was withheld no voicemail message left, could that be the dwp calling me? There was only 1 call from the withheld number, if it is them how many times do they try and contact u Before giving up? And if I rang them, would there be a note on my file that somebody tried to call me? Bit anxious now as I know they normally phone u when they have found u fit for work......

oh one other question if I am found to be fit for work and had to go on jsa until my appeal as im on dla low rate care and low rate mobility would I get the disability premium on top of normal jsa rate?

and one last question if I was to sign on to jsa, and I gave them the fitnote after they accepted my claim does that excuse me from signing on every 2 weeks or do u still have to go there to sign on but not have to look for work?

any help be appreciated...

It's possible it's the DWP, I would give them a call, the call centre staff may be able to see if a Decision Maker is trying to contact you and they should be able to leave a message for them to call you at a suitable time.

If a Decision Maker is trying to contact you then it will most likely be because they are preparing to find you Fit for Work but still have some questions about your limitations before they finalise their Decision.

Yes, you should be entitled to the Disability Premium if you claim JSA.

Yes a Fit Note presented after you claim JSA should excuse you from any of your JSA commitments for up to 13 weeks.

I would have expected you to have heard about an ESA Decision by now, I would give the DWP a call.

Hi quick update, after not hearing anything about the result of my face to face assessment that happened at the end of june, i finally plucked up the courage to give the dwp a call, they told me a decision was made in the middle of july to keep me in the wrag group with a prognosis of 18 months, so what a relief that I now know, admittedly I would of liked to be in the support group but as i was in the wrag before I accept it as I couldn't face another tribunal.

strange thing is I never received any letters informing me of the decision so I have had weeks of stress waiting for the decision, not knowing, so good thing I rang as I might of never known, anyway wanna say thanks to forum mods for their help, one thing that i think helped me was having someone with me at the medical and having it recorded, so thanks again.
