Your right I shouldn't but right now I could I scream so I don't care to be honest. It's the truth.
My son was pre premature born weighing 1Ib 11ozs having 5% chance of survival. Spent 6 months in hospital and his spineless biological father hasn't had anything to do with him since the age of 18 months old, already having another son my son is five now. To top it off he stopped my son's maintenance payments in May when he married the adulterer and had a lavish wedding in Mexico. My ex has told the CSA he is no longer working but is working for cash this I have to prove.

I would love to work rather than have to deal with this load of problems but I am far too stressed and depressed to even think about work and really do wish they would get off my back until all this has been dealt with.

My son and I have struggled since he was born financially, living in inadequate conditions which his father left us in but we are more than grateful for be able to receive benefit because without it we would be out on the street. Even though we live through cold winters we still remain appreciative to all we have which is very little in the means of bare essentials.

I don't care who reads this open forum or not. I am not ashamed of my illness and the fact that I have eaten from paper plates due to it. The nation and the government should be ashamed for their ignorance, pressure and bully tactics upon people with this illness.

Sorry Miss J. I didn't mean to upset you, nor to suggest that you should hide yourself and/or your situation. For I have many days when I feel physically disabled I cannot physically or mentally function and getting out of bed to face the world is a mammoth task on its own.

I sent the questionare to the advisory service and received an appointment date today for an assessment early November at their centre.

My last assessment was carried out in my home for I asked for it to be recorded. I was never asked for my doctor to send them a letter requesting this but they are requesting that I see my doctor to obtain a letter to confirm that they believe the interview should be conducted in my home.

I did request that the interview be carried out at my home address like my previous assessment, along with this I requested that
all my records be obtained whilst considering my case.

I am unable to get a quick appointment at my doctors for they are always busy and offer only slots weeks or months ahead.

Their harassment is making me ill. I have also had a letter from the job centre support worker to attend a back to work appointment however I have to attend court next week for my ex is trying to force sale of our home and I feel close to a break down these past weeks. Whilst I was having a meltdown I was unable to get through to my surgery via telephone to seek help. Due to this I suffered alone. I would be happy for them to just get off my back until at least this case is over so that I can deal with one matter at a time..

Can anyone offer me some advise who has been in a similar situation?

I'm afraid you won't get a home assessment without a letter from your GP, they need to explain detail why you cannot attend at the Assessment Providers offices.
