Failed medical assessment and found fit for work.

Hi,
I've just been for a JSA interview and have been given a work plan and will have to search for jobs or I won't get paid, so I've just been told.
Should I wait until I receive a payment for JSA before I get a fitnote, or make an appointment to see my doctor immediately ( which will take a couple of weeks anyway) and ask for a fitnote ?

No I don't know what I scored points last time, but safe to say it must have been at least 15.
Is there any way I can find out ?
If so, maybe I could point this out at appeal.

Phil

You can see if the DWP still have a copy of the documents from your last assessment, given the age you will need to issue a Subject Access Request as they will likely be in off site storage. The ESA85 if you had a face to face or ESA85A if you did not, should give you an idea of what you scored, there may also be an LT54 which would explain the DM's reasoning.

You should get a Fit Note as quickly as possible as you remain subject to the requirements of your Job Search agreement without it.

Hi Gordon,

I've just been to see my doctor and he gave me a 3 month fitnote without any problem. I shall send that in asap.

I have also phoned and wrote a letter requesting a mandatory reconsideration, and I've downloaded and sent off the 'request for personal information' forms regarding the old ESA85 and LT54 from my first Atos assessment. So thanks for that link and for all your help so far.

Phil.

Just been on the phone to DWP to find out where to send the fitnote. DWP says there could be a problem with the fitnote as it is for the same medical problem that ESA was stopped last week.

Now I have been told to attend my appointment with them next week and take fitnote with me and they'll see what they can work out. Also still have to register with universal jobmatch as they say it's part of the conditions of JSA claim.

So things not looking to good at the moment. Will have to see what they say next week.

We keep hearing this from the DWP, JSA and ESA are completely separate benefits, whilst a Fit Note detailing the same conditions would not be accepted for a new claim of ESA, there is absolutely no reason why it should not be accepted for JSA, if they refuse then ask them for a copy of the legislation that supports their Decision.

I'm afraid I don't know about the Universal Job Match, but you are receiving JSA with no accommodations for you requesting an MR for your ESA claim.
