PIP STOPPED, AFFECT IR ESA SUPPORT GROUP CLAIM?

Thank you SO much for that.

The PIP letter didn't tell me when the last payment would be or how much so I had to call and ask and the person on the phone couldn't tell me properly, her best guess. It's just awful how they can be this way. It's as though we are not living breathing people.

I'm guessing I need to tell esa about the change in carers allowance for my partner. Meaning, it won't be done automatically by the PIP dept., do you know? This is what I was wondering, whether it's this that may trigger the esa being stopped. No PIP = no carers allowance = no esa because they won't accept the PIP medical anymore. It's all just so nerve wracking, not knowing. We are supposed to go on holiday next Friday. I'm just going to be worrying about money now..

TBH I wouldn't mind the idea of the wrag, at least it would get me out of the house. Would be nice to feel useful again...

I've bought some of the guide's and read them a few times so have done a 6 page response to the decision letter whilst I was het up and motivated. There was one thing in particular that was an outright lie and impossible to have informally witnessed that was part of the atos assessors comments. I really can't deal with stress like this anymore. It sends my anxiety through the roof. I could barely speak between crying and being so choked, unable to breath or speak when I was on the phone. My partner had to finish the call for me. I hope I don't have to appeal, I don't think I could get through it. Anyway, i'm just rambling on now...thanks again. I'm sure I will be back!! x

If there is some sort of carer's premium, or allowance, added to your ESA then yes, you will need to tell them.

The Carers Unit is separate from the PIP unit which separate from the ESA one, so I would contact them each to avoid an overpayment.

Whilst we used to see it with DLA occasionally we have not seen a single ESA claim affected in a negative way by a failed PIP claim.

Had a home appt. today with DWP re ESA. A compliance check. Amongst other things he asked if i was still receiving PIP so I explained that i was appealing the decision to remove it and waiting for an appeal date. Not feeling confident that they won't mess with the esa... The next regular payment is due Monday so I should know early Saturday if it's being paid or not. It's just the fact that they can be so nice to your face but completely stab you in the back!! Adds to the stress of it all. Am trying not to worry but I am a born worrier :(
