TOPIC: when to question decision?

when to question decision? 3 months 1 week ago #166524

I'm afraid Gordon's comment has confused me about reassessment after the 2 years being a full reassessment. Does this mean a full PIP2 form to complete, or the new simpler review PIP2?

Thanks
A

Members appear to be receiving both forms, at this time it is not clear under what circumstances an AR1 will be issued in preference to a PIP2 and vice versa.

hi walker ,.
sorry to hear your having to go to appeal,, ime also waiting for a date to come through so i know excactly how stressed you must be ,, like gordon stated,,if you look on the pip guide there is helpfull info on there that takes u step by step through the process ,, also if i recal there is a samlple letter to give you idea of what to write in the question5 of appeal form ,, i didnt go into alot of detail ,, i just give a bit of potted history on my health and reason why i believe the decision made was incorrect and i wish to appeal as i believe i should of been awarded daily/mobility care for pip,,. when uve filled in the form ,,send it to them recorded delivery ,,and ule recieve a letter back ,mine took about 2 weeks just comfirming they have had your appeal form ,, ,
you then have to wait until you recieve a wad of paperwork that the dwp has prepared . ,everything will be in there ,copy of your pip2 how your disability form affects you ,assessment report ,dm report,, and your MR letter and any evidence you sent off to them ,, .i started doing my submission before i recieved this and saved it to document s ,,it quite time consuming so ide start soon as if i were you ,,any info you might feel important after recieving your wad of paperwork you can then just add on to your saved documents,, ,hope this is some help to you ,,as i know how scary all this process is ,have you contacted C.A.B , or a welfare rights person ,as they can help you do all this if your lucky enough to find someone ,,be worth you ringing cab and asking for help ,,

I am thinking of attaching the letter I sent in for the MR as it had as much detail as I could muster

are attachments allowed?

sorry for being so needy

thanks Alison

I have been talking to my care coordinator just now
he thinks I should not write too much and just to attach the letter I sent if I want

I really don't know what else I could write in a submission as I spent hours and hours on my letter for the MR and I don't know what else I can say

I haven't contacted CAB - I am rather a control freak and don't trust them to know more than what I read on this site

I have no idea where welfare rights people hide out, don't think there are any near me

Attach to what/where? If you mean you would like to attach something to a message on this forum, I'm afraid we do not have the facility to do that. Apart from anything else, it would need a level of detail that is not appropriate on a public forum.
