System. With pip you need to get a high number ,am I right it's the other way round, you need to get Zero? I have 18 points on the esa. But it doesn't show where those points are, and what it's for. My sister is supposed to be helping, she said she had to go all through this only to find out hers was for pip but she made me think it was for ESA.

I will try to answer your questions -
The DWP will not acknowledge the receipt of the MR request. The next thing you will hear is when the decision has been made.
It doesn't matter whether you used the template letters, as long as you have clearly requested the MR.
I'm not too sure of your question about points. For PIP 8 points are needed in each section for a standard award and 12 for enhanced awards.
ESA needs 15 points for WRAG. The Support Group is not points based.
Please let us know if I have not answered your questions.

As for the points, it was on the their assessment they sent me after requesting over the phone and reading other people's comments on the forum saying Thank you for this forums help and they put 35 to zero points for the esa assessment, not the pip.
It's just all so confusing and making me more anxious and depressed.

Again I'll ask what are these points system? I just read some saying "thank you bla bla 0 to 26 points for her esa assessment. If I knew what was I might be able to understand hat the hell is going on. Sorry but I've just about had it. Because of all this I've been able to grieve properly for my mum.

Both PIP and ESA use a points system to make awards (see below for the SG). Each of the activities for each benefit have a number of Descriptors that define specific functional tests, each has an associated point award related to the severity of the impairment.
For each activity you can only score once, for the highest pointed Descriptor that you meet. The total points across all of the relevant activities is used to see whether an award can be made
For PIP you need to score 8 points for a Standard award and 12 points for an Enhanced one. There are 10 activities that count towards a Daily Living award and two activities that count towards a Mobility award.
For ESA you need to score 15 points across the 17 activities for a WRAG award. The Support Group is different in that you only need to meet one or more of the SG Descriptors, many of these correspond to the 15 point Descriptors that are used for the WRAG, but not all of these counted for the SG and some have differences.
This is all explained in the PIP and ESA Claim guides.
