Is it always a good idea to have some fill the pip form in on your behalf not for the content of answer but simply to avoid the hp marking you down because you can write on a large form, personally i think it would be difficult for me on a bad day to complete the form myself but on a good day maybe i could manage it and therein lies the problem?

Hi onestep,

When I have time I am going to merge your queries into one topic. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place.

Don't forget that the issue is not whether you would be able to accomplish someone on the rare good day. Reliability is the key word. This means -

• Safely – in a fashion that is unlikely to cause harm to themselves or to another person.
• To a necessary and appropriate standard – given the nature of the activity.
• Repeatedly – as often as is reasonably required.
• In a timely manner – in a reasonable time period.

Will you please keep all further questions or comments about your PIP to this topic? You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now :)

Hi onestep,

I have recently completed the PIP2 form with assistance from someone at AgeUK. I prepared all of the further info for each question on typed sheets in Word using the B&W guide. The helper said that they were very good. My writing is completely illegible and he wrote what was necessary on the form. If you know you need help I would look for it.

Regards,

Stewart.

Thanks sorry if I'm causing chaos but thanks for helping and replying and I will keep all future correspondence here. I was wandering if it would be possible to get hold of my ESA form and a copy of the HP report on the day of my ESA assessment from last year as having this may help me with my pip forms. Does anyone know how I would go about gaining access to these if it is at all possible?

Did you not take a copy of your ESA50 before you submitted it? You really need to keep a copy of your PIP2!

If your ESA assessment was more than six months ago then your information is likely to be offsite, so if it was more recent, contact the DWP office that dealt with your ESA claim, if longer then you will have to issue a Subject Access Request

SAR :

www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/request-for-personal-information.rtf

From this page :

www.dwp.gov.uk/privacy-policy/data-protection/

The assessment report will be an ESA85 if you had a face to face and an ESA85A if you did not.

I seem to remember at my ESA assessment the hp was very curious about if I used social media, would having a facebook account even be relevant in either esa or pip?
