Sorry, I missed that one!

Yes, I believe you are now exempt from the benefit cap as you are in receipt of PIP care element.

If I do change my mind how long do I have to ask for a MR and what number do I need to call? Thinking about it I may as well ask for this as if I understand correctly asking for this does not mean you have to go through the whole appeal process.

You normally have one month from the date of the Decision to request an MR, however, you can make a late request up to 13 months after the Decision, you will need to explain why the request is late and if the DWP do not accept your reasons then you lose your right of appeal.

Hi Gordon and Miss HB, I decided not to appeal my decision as harsh as I thought it was I felt so drained with the whole process and felt I could not take anymore. Since the whole process I have been diagnosed with PTSD and I'm now wondering if I should try to get looked at again with a view to maybe getting a higher award. Is PTSD something that PIP look at with a view of scoring more points? If so how do I go about re opening my claim and is this something you would advise?

You can report a Change of Circumstances due to a deterioration in your condition, but be aware that this will result in full reassessment of your claim, a new PIP2 and almost certainly a face to face assessment.

You also need to consider whether you would reasonably score the extra points you need for a higher award, PTSD can impact on a claimants ability to complete the PIP activities but does it impact on your ability to complete them and does this mean that you are now less able to complete them than you were when last assessed.

Unless you can show that you would receive the extra points you need, then you should seriously consider whether to report the change.

Are there any examples of PTSD in the same answers on here,it sounds like you are advising me against reporting a change do you honestly think it would be a waste of time given how harshly I felt I was treated on my F2F assessment last time.
