Abroad for more than 4 weeks while on PIP

Having finally been awarded PIP for both mobility and care (and thankyou to Benefits and Work for support) I'm planning a once in a lifetime trip abroad.
As I will be travelling on my own, I need to take much longer over it (travelling round a country seeing friends) than I would if I was healthy, so will be away for more than 4 weeks.
I know it says I have to notify them, does this mean it will be stopped and I have to start the whole rigmarole again?

Any advice please?

You can travel abroad for up to 13 weeks without affecting your claim, even though you need to let DWP know that you will be going

I would not tell them anything like that, its your life, you do not have to report in. Best to stay clear though I see Mrs Hurtyback says your allowed to anyway.

According to the information they send out with your successful claim you have to tell them if you're going abroad for more than 4 weeks otherwise "you may be prosecuted if you fail to tell us about any of these changes"

If it was a couple of days over I'd risk it, but not for the length of time I'm going (just over 7 weeks).
