my husband requested my letters come out on lilac or blue paper due to both of our eye conditions we get terrible migraines from black text on white paper. They called instead and said I had a medical where we lived in 24 hours notice which I couldn't get anyone to come with me on short notice. They didnt tell us where the place was or anything so we were to told to call back the next day as their systems were dwn we did they extended the medical date to 28th October again no letters no information given. My husband requested more than 2 weeks notice that we would be recording and wanted a copy they did not send this to the center they did not. My husband went to have our mobility cars tyre changed when another mobility customer informed my husband the testing area had changed which they didnt tell us. So he phoned on Wednesday to be informed that this was the case. I was so ill with stress and bad anxiety attacks all week. Friday came went into the center my husband brought out dictaphones and the nurse refused point blank to be recorded. So we had to wait to another nurse was available not good for myself or my husband being in crowded places because ATOS didnt do their job. Finally the other nurse accepted she agreed to be recorded I was in there for over an hour and my meds had started to kick in and I could hardly speak.
I was in a lot of pain and they could see I was struggling and still making try physical activity. She wanted me to get out of my wheelchair which is very difficult for me my husband had to step ina nd say that I couldnt without pain and discomfort I was so stressed and full of panic I just wanted to leave.
I am just well not optimistic I have been through 4 appeals since being on dla through the years I thought November 2014 when I was awarded til 2019 that would be me left alone for a while.
If I lose my vehicle I can no longer attend therapy sessions, dotors or hospital appointments as where I live is quite far from town and transport I cannot travel on my own and public transport is 1-2 buses an hour with limited space for wheelchairs the stress of being on a bus and not being able to stop whenever I need to get myself togethr is putting more stress on myself and my conditions.
I just have no idea how long I will neeed to wait they said up to 6 weeks which is coming up to christmas and the thought of going through another appeal I just don't know how I will cope with it all.
This forum has been great with advice and has put me a little at ease but its the wait now and well i rarely get a good nights sleep due to pain now its anxiety and stress.
When I hear back I will be sure to let you guys know.

Thanks for the update. PIP Decisions are taking about 7-8 weeks at the moment. You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report now, phone or write to the DWP office that is dealing with your claim.

i fianlly got a copy of the report and well it seems that recording the assessment didnt matter as her answers to the quetions don't match up if I wasn't stressed enough my husband has to read my letters as I struggle to understand things I suffer for SLE Lupus, conective tissue disorder, co-morbidity IBS and clinical depression all of which are not going to get better the nurse said on her report I should be reassessed in a year as my conditon would be better by then I suffer froma hereditary condition that makes me have many additional health problems both mentally and physically. I was in tears when my husband was reading it to me as well i was just re assessed November 30th 2014 to be told I would have my dla award to 2019 now PIP assessment report by a nurse who knows nothing about my condition saying I will be better in a year I am constantly in pain and whn we described a flare up is a pain scale higher than what I usually go through on a daily basis she has taken this to mean im only in pain and ill while I am having a flare up. From the points awarded int he report its a bit iffy as its 14 mobility and 20 care but again dwp can go against this I was told not sure if this is correct but its the time scale that I am actually more stressed about its making me feel so ill and my anxiety is through the roof I strugle to sleep at the best of times and well since all this PIP fiasco ive hardly slept. I mean I thought by recording this would be much safer from them lying but obviously not.
Not sure how long the actual decision will take my assessment was on Friday 28th October and they recieved the report on the 3rd November so all this waiting and stress is making me far more ill than I was a few weeks ago. I am unable to walk atm and have been having to helped to do every ittle thing and its so overwhelming.

Thank you for all your advice and feedback wish there was a button which could release some of this anxiety and stress but I overthink which doesn't hlp matters.
Will keep you informed when I hear of a decision

I got my award letter through and well yes i was awarded my rats I had before but becuase the nurse who did my assessment put on my report my condition should be reveresed within a year they ahve chosen to grant me a re-assessment 31st October 2017 which is a little over 10 months again having my mobility vehichle for the next 10 months but having t go through more of this when my condition will not get better the exact opposite lupus isn't something you wake up one day and you are cured its waking up and not being able to walk, needing hip and knee operations losing your sight you hearing and having to rely even more on your family to do simple things for you. I would love to say I am relieved but I am not as there is more uncertainty in this hopeless system for the ick and disabled. It didn't matetr i had all the proof from doctors, specialists and OTs a nurse whoa d itted she knew nothing about lupus and how it affects you day to day and during flare ups and little knowledge of what I suffer from with my mental health it really is a joke. When it comes to October next year for re-assessment I will make sure I still ahve my copies of everythign as they cannot be trusted.
THe way the benefit works with payemt as well its a bit misunderstood the letter isn't very clear my date stays the same but its a week earlier and because its in the middle of being moved over from dla to pip it stops on the 6th but I would've been paid my dla on 13th December but they said I would stop dla on 6th no idea what will happen and sounds as if it will less money this time and then again in january as well they said it wouldn't affect my mobility car which it doesn't make sense if its short 1 week. I struggle to read letters which we told the nurse and she marked me down as 0 but talking to the dwp about this caues me so much stress i can't even call I just don't process the information properly which is now caused me so much more undue stress and has made me very ill. Which I am not sure if this is why they send these types of letters out.

Could someone plese help me

Thank you

Congratulations on the award.

If the PIP aware is the same as your DLA one then you should no lose any money during the change over.

Your DLA should remain in payment for four weeks from the date of the PIP Decision and then the PIP will kick in. The payment amounts and dates may look odd but once you have transferred and are on normal PIP payments then it should all add up correctly.

I'm sorry the award is only for a year, it is part of the Decision so in principle can be challenged but members who have tried have had little success with doing this.
