Hi
Just a update on my claim.I forward the ESA50 plus my consultants reports just 19 days ago(but if you take out the weekends)its only 14 working days.I got a reply back from them today and I am placed in the S/G.I phoned the DWP and they confirmed it and I am in it for 3 yrs,I asked the lady could she forward me a copy of the ESA85A and she said she has emailed the dept to ask them to forward it to me.
So next is me changing from DLA to PIP,I was wondering when it does come my turn will I be able to send a copy of this ESA85A as a supporting document.
I would like to thank you kindly Mrs Hurtyback and Gordon for this wonderful web site as I have found it to be of great help.Kind regards to both of you.

Hi
As I stated in my last post I was awarded ESA S/G for the next 3yrs.However I was keen to ask for a copy of the ESA 85A (no ftf) so I did that by phone when I got the letter of award and found out then it was for 3yrs. The lady said she would request this, never got it in post,so I wrote a letter (rec del) approx 2 weeks later, still no ESA 85 A ,so I phoned in yesterday and asked again,it took the person on the phone a good 10 mins to understand what a ESA 85 A was,he asked me do I want a blank one, then he went and asked other people around him he said, and then there was 101 questions ,why do I want this for etc.
So I told him I wanted it for my own records,he said he would request it and it should be posted out with the details of the health adviser.I asked has the DWP sent it out with my previous requests and he said no nothing recorded on my file.
Was just looking this as maybe I will be able to refer to it to help me when I change to PIP when it comes my turn,
I hope they dont put me down as being a smartass asking for it as I am feeling a bit anxious now about the whole thing. Maybe I dont have the right to do it,I dont know.

You are entitled to receive copies of any personal information the DWP hold on you, this includes things like the assessment report. Don't be worried by the lack of training of the people in the call centre, their lack of knowledge will not impact on your claim.
If you want to use the report for a PIP claim then you will need to show how it relates to the PIP activities.

Belfast is the DWP print centre, so local offices request a letter to be printed and it is then printed, enveloped and sent from Belfast.
