1/ Help please, i have received a general letter saying that it will be Sept 2017 or before when i will be invited to migrate to pips. I will be 66 in December 2016 and i have read that you cant apply for pips once reaching 66yrs. Im female.?will this mean i cant appeal if they in their wisdom decide to take it from me?
2/ Ive been in receipt of dla high for mobility, low care for many years. Sadly my health has deteriorated since my initial claim, which resulted in my life time award! Shortly after my award i had further medical tests, with a Rheumatoligest resulting in being told i also have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I didnt see the point ininforming dla as i didnt know if this would make my living and getting around condition worse! obviously it has made my life so much worse. And iwill probably be able to prove it with medical notes etc but i wonder if by not informing them, they will disregard my further debilitating health? i originally got the award for Scoliosis, a sideways curvurture of spine. Im scared stiff.
3/ And only this year i have been registered as Blind, Impaired Vision. My memory is very poor. I wOnt be able to remember details. Ive moved house and Drs many times, what if my consultants have pased away. Or my records lost in a mountain of notes.in different hospitals? I dont know who to approach first. I know it will take longer than a month for yhem all to be fou d. Which is why im panicing now and not even received a letter to migrate yet!please help and im sorryif ive got this mixed up. Yours very sincerely Susan

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I will try to answer your questions in order -

1) All DLA claimants who were under 65 years of age in April 2013 will be invited to claim PIP at some stage, no matter how old they are at that time. MR and appeal will still be open to you if you need them.

2) Although in theory all changes in circumstances should be reported to DWP, in practice they are only really interested in hearing about things that will allow them to reduce your award! There should be no repercussions as a result of you not having informed them about your increased problems.

3) DWP are unlikely to contact any of your medics so you are wise to start thinking about how you can supply evidence to support your claim. Your GP surgery should have all of your Primary Care records and also letters from your specialists. Might this be a place to start?

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP along the way? :)
