I have just returned my Questionaire it had to arrive by the 20th of this month or it would affect my benefit, however I have received a letter yesterday telling they had not yet received it and they must have posted it the day before so that's 8 days before it was due.! Are they using this as another way to pressure us disabled folk,? also I was told by CAB that whatever is written in the form and with doctors letters/reports it makes no difference to the assessor as they are paid only to get you off the benefit, after breaking my back in crushing accident 20 years ago my problems have only gotten worse and at 63 I'm never going to be able to work so why keep on with this vendetta against us.!!

Hi Jimbo and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

The reminder is routine, they are sent out to everyone if the form has not yet been logged onto their system.

I'm afraid that the CAB adviser is incorrect, a good, comprehensive claim form and supporting evidence will go a long way to seeing a PIP award made.

Don't forget that PIP has nothing to do with whether or not you are able to work, it looks solely at your care and mobility needs.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one topic - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
