PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPITAL LETTERS BUT I HAVE BAD EYE SIGHT.

I HAVE BEEN ON DLA FOR MANY YEARS AND WAS RECEIVING THE HIGHEST RATE FOR BOTH CARE AND MOBILITY. I WAS JUST MOVED OVER TO PIP WHERE I WAS AWARDED STANDARD CARE FOR DAILY LIVING AND ENHANCED FOR MOBILITY.

I ASKED FOR A MANDATORY RECONSIDERATION AND THE FIRST MANDATORY LETTER I GOT BACK WAS LIKE A BIG PART OF IT WASN'T EVEN TO DO WITH MY CASE AT ALL. THE PERSON DOING MY REVIEW SAID IN THE LETTER I THAT AT THE CONSULTATION YOU WERE ABLE TO HEAR YOUR NAME BEING CALLED IN THE WAITING AREA AND STOOD UP FROM THE CHAIR UNAIDED AND WALKED 15 METRES TO THE CONSULTATION ROOM. YOU STRUGGLED TO REMOVE YOUR IDENTIFICATION USING YOUR RIGHT HAND BUT AT THE END OF THE CONSULTATION YOU BENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR TO PICK UP YOUR HANDBAG WHICH YOU COMPLETED WITHOUT ANY DIFFICULTY. BUT I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT HERE THAT I HAD A HOME APPOINTMENT IN MY BEDROOM FROM MY BED AS I AM HOUSE BOUND AS I SUFFER WITH AGORAPHOBIA BUT ALSO DUE TO OTHER MEDICAL PROBLEMS I HAVE BEEN CONFINED TO THE UPSTAIRS OF MY HOUSE IN MY BEDROOM FOR MANY YEARS NOW. THERE WAS SO MUCH IN THE LETTER THAT WAS WRONG WHERE THEY SAID I SAID THIS AND I HAD NOT EVEN SAID THESE THINGS. AND THAT I WAS ABLE TO ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS BEING ASKED WHEN IN FACT MY NIECE WHO IS MY FULL TIME CARER WAS THE ONE ANSWERING EVERYTHING TO THE LADY FOR ME AS I GO TO PIECES WHEN I AM FACE TO FACE WITH STRANGERS. MY NIECE RINGS AND TELLS THEM AND THEY SEND ANOTHER LETTER WHICH I RECEIVE TODAY.

I WANT TO TAKE THIS TO APPEAL AS I AM NOT HAPPY OVER THE DAILY LIVING AWARD. AND WOULD LIKE ADVICE. AS IN THE PREPARING FOOD PART THEY SCORED ME 2 POINTS SAYING. YOU NEED AN AID OR APPLIANCE TO BE ABLE TO PREPARE OR COOK A SIMPLE MEAL. BUT I AM NOT EVEN ABLE TO GET TO A KITCHEN TO COOK A MEAL. MY MEALS AND DRINKS HAVE TO BE BROUGHT UP TO ME. PLUS THEY SCORED ME 0 ON MANAGING TREATMENTS WHEN MY NIECE AND ANOTHER LADY HAVE TO HELP ME DO DAILY PHYSIO FOR MY MUSCLES WHICH HAS TO BE DONE AT LEAST TWICE A DAY EVERYDAY AND ALSO MY NIECE HAS TO MANAGE MY MEDICATION AS I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS ANY MORE . I NO I HAVE A MONTH TO GET MY APPEAL IN. I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE APPEAL BEING HOUSE BOUND AND THE LAST APPEAL I HAD WAS FOR DLA MANY YEARS AGO AND THAT WAS DONE AT HOME BUT NOW ITS EITHER ATTEND OR LETTER.

SORRY IF I'VE RAMBLED ON AND SAID TO MUCH BUT ITS THE FIRST TIME OF DOING ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND I AM JUST SO STRESSED OVER THIS WHOLE PIP THING. PLEASE CAN YOU ADVICE. THANK YOU

I've left your post as it is but please don't post in capitals again, it's almost impossible to read large blocks of text like this, instead you can increase the font size by using the Tr button in the tools menu when you create a post or simply zoom the page in your browser.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

There are clearly issues with the report if it says you attended at an Assessment Centre and you in actual fact had a home visit, however dealing with these issues will not in actual fact result in an award, this will only happen by you showing that you meet the criteria to score points.

Have you received a copy of the assessment report? If not then contact the DWP office that dealt with your claim.

Have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide, it has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete in order to request an appeal it also has instructions on how to complete it.

Once your appeal is accepted, the DWP will prepare their case and submit it to the Tribunal Service, you will receive a copy of this and then can prepare your response, however, you should not wait for this to arrive to start preparing your submission. I would start by going through your PIP2 with the assessment report and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you have shown why you meet the criteria.

If you have more questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
