hi
well the invitation to apply for pip has arrived, it took me all of 3 weeks to complete and return, it was signed for on monday the 17th oct. i will keep you updated fully through the process so that others can follow time scales etc as to what is going on.

my health problems varies so i will give you a quick run down .

i have what is called a chronic heart condition and have had a valve replaced, while recovering in hospital i also started to have problems with my heart beat and so i need tablets to help control that as well, atrial fibrillation i believe its called, a few weeks later i collapsed and at the same time i lost control of my bowels, i was extremely distressed at this and while in hospital started to suffer from panic attacks and on a couple of occasions during that week had the same problems again.
that was 15 years ago but as time moved on the panic attacks have got worse along with the accompanying problems, in short when i have a panic attack i don`t always make it to the toilet.
i have a great fear of being outdoors now now and especially of being around other people, i find it impossible to go anywhere without someone being with me to get me back home after an attack, even the thought of going outside has me panicking. so for all the reasons above being around anyone other than my family is just impossible my anxiety goes through the roof which in turn can make me pretty rude to others and very short tempered. obviously i take tablets for all of these problems and everything is well documented both at the hospital and doctors.
so the from is in along with old copies of support as well as supporting letters from friends and family.

as promised i will let you know how the process to pip goes along with time frames.

well i have my assessment date as the 25th november, i hoped i would have got a paper assessment.

is there still a chance the assessor could call me for a paper assessment?, i once had a similar call a few years ago but that call was out of the blue and i did not have a date for a medical.

Not unless you provide additional information, by requiring a face to face the assessor is saying that they do not have sufficient information to make a recommendation without their seeing you.

You may be able to get a home assessment if your GP is prepared to provide a letter explaining why you cannot attend at the Assessment Providers offices.

It's at the back of the PIP Claim guide.
