Whilst an Enhanced Mobility award may be a struggle if the claimant does not have cognitive of sensory issues a Standard award for mental health issues is certainly possible.

If I was to make one comment on the problems that members have, we regularly see posts referring to "anxiety" when leaving the home, the PIP Descriptors refer to "overwhelming psychological distress", whilst I stress this is a personal opinion, I do not believe that these two phrases are consistent with each other.

Hi Gordon
I personally feel I suffer overwhelming psychological distress, the state I get into is ridiculous!

I don't know how they would assess that what I explained on the form or when I finally have a f2f, that it is not just anxiety but overwhelming psychological distress, I have never dealt with pip before.

Do you think that what I explained that I go through in my previous post is classed as overwhelming psychological distress?
It certainly feels like it :(

I hate living like this, I wish I could just be happy and not have to suffer any more! I have suffered so much from such a young age! I just wish it was over so I can start to live, I wish I didn't have to wait so long for help!
I am so miserable :(

I'll hope you will understand but it doesn't matter what I think and it is also important to understand that all I have to go on is what you have posted in the forum. I don't think from what you have posted that you don't meet the criteria.

I just contacted atos to see if there was any update and she said there wasn't but looked into it for me, she came back saying I had to have a f2f and has booked it in for me.

It is on the 13th at 1.30pm, I am surprised because it is only a 9 minute walk according to Google!
I obviously won't be walking, I'll need to book a taxi.

My head is thumping now, I feel sick with worry, my partner said the worst that can happen is they say I'm not entitled to it and we will try to cope on the £114 a week we are currently getting.

I am so scared, I don't know what to expect from this f2f assessment, I've had one for esa years ago but am assuming pip is different?

There's a section in the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
