Can anyone help on this? was created by Montbel
Any ideas on how I can get corroborative evidence of Schizophrenia for ESA50 other than a scant letter from Southern Health, saying HE has schizophrenia and is required to collect pills and have blood tests, whch isn't enough evidence of how life is impacted? new new This is all that could go forward to Assessment Centre. Am told by the Mental Health Team that there's been such a high turn of staff, they don't know him, although he's been a patient there for 16years. I discover that he should have been having 6 monthly checkups by a Consultant, but hasn't had any for 3 years - is taking Clozapine a dangerous drug. Any thoughts and help gratefully received. I learn that he's not known either to his new CPN or new Consultant. In any case they're not obliged to write a supporting letter.

Is their GP involved in their treatment at all, we have previously posted about accessing their medical records at their GP surgery?

I'm afraid we cannot offer opinion on the drugs they are taking for their condition.

My son has the same illness and is on the same medication clozapine It . is a dangerous drug and you say he has not seen a consultant for three years if he has not had any check ups then he should have had them My son has them every 6 months I would ring MH and ask why he has not had a check up and could they make an appointment to see him ASAP. and then when he has seen the doctor ask if the doctors report can be sent to you as well as his doctor.

Can't find anything on face-to-face for Mental Heath assessment for ESA - is there anything?

There is one assessment that covers both physical and mental health issues. There is a section at the back of the ESA Claim guides that covers the interview and the questions you are likely to be asked.
