Hello

Do not worry about that question !

I had a six figure income years ago, was a racing driver and used to practice with Lewis Hamilton when he was younger just before he moved from Karts to Cars. So you see its
just to engage you in conversation. Myself I think they asked me this question and then they said there was nothing wrong with my memory, so maybe thats what there trying to do if you offer lots of information.

Concentrating on getting your points across regarding the questions and the answers giving you your points is the most important part of the assessment for you to think of.
Also if there nice and friendly like mine was, try and focus on those replies that prove your case, as mine was nice o my face and not so nice in report.

Good Luck

Thank you Cipolar.

I seem to have read this many times on this site that assessors appear supportive in person, but then write something different in their report.
I'll do my best to answer with the descriptors, reliability and safety in mind.

Take care everyone.

hope it goes as well as it can for you................Im awaiting a date for mine. I totally understand how you feel, just go in as yourself, do your best to try and get your message across. If it goes badly for you, deep breath, and get yourself ready for the Mand R and tribunal, at least at tribunal you can go through each of the points you dont agree with , and tell your story, clearly, without feeling rushed .

Good luck and take good care, thinking of you x

Hi there
I can really relate to this as I have spent all my life hiding my disability and putting on a brave face in public - it has cost me regular mental health breakdowns in my adult life when it all gets too much for me. Like you too - my public and private faces are sooooo different. I am finding though as I get older I cannot pretend so well. I have just sent off my PIP form, having previously claimed DLA since 1999. I know I will have to appeal despite sending in 13 pages of additional notes on how my disability affects me. I am expecting the HP to say I am fine - I have been on ESA for 3 years and lost it in March after HP said I was perfectly fine despite crying throughout the assessment. Lies in paperwork too means I have no faith in them at all personally. But I did win my ESA appeal and will fight for this too as I know I meet the descriptors. Like so many of us, I have felt under tremendous pressure applying for PIP and have worked all my life until past 3 years despite huge daily difficulties - I will fight for my entitlement like everyone else. Good luck!
