Maybe this is a question for a moderator.

I sent in my PIPS appeal last Monday 7th Novemeber arrived Special delivery with them on Tuesday 8th November from tracking number. Last day to appeal was 13th November.

Still not had any acknowledgement from the court that they have received it or anything from them as of todays post 15th.

Is this usual that things take a while to respond to ??

We would normally expect a response in 7-10 days, if you are concerned then give the TS a call.

Hi Alison

Thank You for replying.

Today was the day that I received the letter. Think I was just eager to get it and it brought good cheer, that the DWP would have to explain to a judge how they said I could work 50 to 200 metres based on me walking 3 metres from my lounge to the hall and just to humiliate the DWPs incompetence enclosed a photograph !

Have fallen a bit flat tonight as my MPs office wrote saying they had contacted the DWP office and they confirmed they knew I was appealing but they are writing to me to say that they have accepted that. The idea of writing to the MP was to encourage the DWP to look at the case again with 2 pages of evidence with all 15 questions answered by mental health worker, that they would try and avoid further stress to me and sort out my claim.
They just do not care.

I intend to sue the DWP for costs and compensation once have won the appeal and I have more evidence to gather from my GP so am 5000% sure.

They also had a letter from my psychiatrist saying I could be plunged into a mental health crisis. They ignored that and now have had a mental health breakdown, am now in recovery.

Have written to 2 other Tory MPs who are critical of the system to see if my MP has done the minimum or whether they can do anything else. I am flabbergasted they are getting away with putting vulnerable peoples lives at risk like this. Think they are hoping people do not turn up for appeal or die. Christmas looming really wanted to get sorted out.
Its like Ken Loach said " ITS CONSCIOUS CRUELTY BY THE DWP " talking about his film I AM DANIEL BLAKE

hi cipolar,
yes you are so right ,, i also emailed a few local MP and never got one reply or fonecall off any of them , there quick to come around knocking your door when they want your vote ,,i be shutting the door on there faces after telling them excactly what i think of them if they do come knocking,., ,its disgracefull where having to go through this on our own there isnt much support out there and dr are limited what they can do also ,,dont seem to matter what evidence you provide from profesionals ,they ignore them and take the word from a HA who isnt even qualified in mental health and other disabilities, i waited from time of recieving letter from tribunal to a date 18 weeks !! glad it over with now and it was sucsessfull,.wishing you all the best and hope your wait for a date isnt too long ,, do let me know how you get on ,,
