Consequences of losing PIP APPEAL

I received DLA for 8 years with an indefinite award. In March I was told it would end. I applied for PIP and failed! I appealed the decision and failed. Couldn't get it because of legal rules - does anyone know what these are? Waiting for DWP to reply to my request to see the decision in writing. My benefit ended in June, as a result my Pension Credit also ended and today, I discovered I won't qualify for the Warm Home scheme any more, either. I am beside myself with worry, I now have to pay my Mortgage and council tax all other necessary bills and actually find some money to live on. I had a breakdown in 2008. I have attempted suicide three times. I suffer with chronic/severe depression. As usual Mental Health conditions are ignored. :(

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

You say you have appealed and been turned down, do you mean that you requested a Mandatory Reconsideration and the Decision has not been changed?

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by "legal rules" or rather there are too many things it could be, can you provide more detail?

Did you score any points?

Your Decision Letter should have explained why the DWP came to their Decision, what does it say?

I went to Tribunal in September. My Son wanted to support me, but the date clashed with him being out of the Country on business. Asked to change the date - under no circumstances. Tribunal lasted 1 hour (very stressful). What I was told.... "Not good news. We have applied the legal rules and we can't award PIP". I didn't get any points, 1st Assessment, Reconsideration or Appeal. Have written to DWP asking for written reasons. Still waiting 4 weeks on. The whole thing is a joke - if only it were funny.

I assume they mean that they did not think you met the legal criteria to score points.

You assay you have written to the DWP. If this was a Tribunal then you need to write to the Tribunal Service in regard a Statement of Reasons. This needs to be done within a month of the hearing so if you have not done this then you need to do so immediately, you might want to mention that you thought it was the DWP you needed to contact in case the request is late.
