PIP questions was created by HSClohessy
After being on DLA am now applying for PIP. When I rang to make my initial claim, I was asked if I was submitting medical evidence which I am and also if I was getting help filling in the form, I pushed them on what they meant, he asked "are the CAB helping you?" This has made me very suspicious and am tempted to say on the PIP form I've taken legal guidance is this appropriate?

I'm typing all my answers. Is it acceptable to cut my pages and glue them into the PIP claim form? As I would struggle to complete it by hand?

I can't grip a walking stick and bought a four-wheeled shopping trolley to give me support when walking. Does this count as an aid?

In 2014 my G.P. wrote a report for my 2nd ESA Tribunal, which I won and didn't need to submit the report. Is it appropriate to submit it now as part of my medical evidence?

Are exercises given to me by various hospital physiotherapists to do at home, regarded as medical evidence?

To try and answer your questions.

I would not cut and paste (literally) your answer into the form, it needs to be scanned and this may cause problems plus you are limiting your answers to the space available.

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the PIP2, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

Attach the pages to the back of the PIP2 using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form.

You should be able to argue that the shopping trolley is an aid, but you would need to use it whenever you walk outside.

You can use the GP letter but you must relate it to the PIP activities for it to have effect.

The exercises might be relevant to the Managing Treatment activity but I think you may struggle to show it is evidence, the same exercises might be recommended for a wide range of conditions and severities.

Hi Gordon thanks very much, very helpful. Am still concerned by the DWP asking if I was getting help from the CAB though, can you advice me on my original question regarding that. If you can't no worries.

I would only be guessing, I'll bounce your question to the office and post when I get a reply.

Hi Gordon,

Thanks very much, look forward to hearing from you. Have got to return my form by next week, what a nightmare it is, but greatly helped by the B/W guide.
