PIP is very different from DLA, it is not awarded because you have care needs for a certain period of time.
So you only need to mention time taken where it is mentioned in the question or to show that you should be judged as unable to carry out an activity because it takes you twice as long as a 'normal' person would.
Other than that, the only occasion where you would need to mention time is if you were discussing a variable condition and need to say how long you are worst/best/usual.

I'm sorry, this is probably not going to help but they could be applied to any of the PIP activities.
Have a look at the use of "reliably" in the Claim guide.

hi, as my handwriting isn't good can I type and print my answers for the pip 2 form on separate paper and if so should I staple to the appropriate page on the form. many thanks.

Yes, you can produce all your answers on the computer if this is easier for you. If you do this, you do not have to worry about using upper case.
Make sure that each answer is clearly marked with the question number. On the form, in the box you can write something like 'see additional page x'.
We suggest attaching all extra sheets to the back of the completed form rather than trying to staple it to the body of the form.
Make sure each extra sheet has your name and Ni number at the top and the number in the bottom right corner. We recommend number 'x of y' so that it is clear if anything has got lost from the back.
Don't forget to keep a copy for your own records!

hi I just sent off my pip form and supporting letter. I don't cope well around people so my doctor wrote that and asked dwp if they will consider a paper assessment instead of a f2f. do you think they will take any notice of the the letter, im already getting in a panic about the whole thing. thanks.

The letter needs to go to the Assessment Provider for your postcode, the DWP are not involved in the assessment process.
The AP must be able to make a recommendation to the DWP on the claimants limitations in regard each of the PIP activities, if your PIP2 and the evidence attached to it provide sufficient information for them to do this without seeing you then a paper assessment should be done, however, if there is not then they have no choice but to order a face to face.
So your options are if a face to face is required;
Try and provide additional information to remove the requirement.
Try and get a home assessment if this would be easier for you, you will need your GP to explain why you cannot attend at the AP's offices.
Attend at their offices. You can arrange the appointment once, but after that you must attend, failing to attend will almost certainly result in your claim being closed, although this can be challenged.
