Hi,

I have merged all of your PIP questions into one topic, it helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is in one place.

Your best chance of a decision being made without a face2face assessment is to fill in the PIP2 form as comprehensively as possible and submit (copies of) all supporting documentation. A letter from a GP or consultant stating that you are not well enough to undergo an assessment in person can also be helpful but does not carry any guarantees.

There are no 'exceptional circumstances' for PIP as there are for ESA.

When you have further questions or comments regarding your PIP claim please reply to this rather than starting a new topic. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now :)

hi just got my pip 1 form. just wondering on question that asks is there any medical evidence from your dla claim that you think might help us understand how your disability affects you. I get dla but didn't need a medical, same with esa. no reports were sent but I did sent supporting letters. is this included as medical evidence. thanks

It will be your DLA forms and anything you send with them.

Our recommendation is to include anything you think is relevant from your DLA to your PIP claim with the PIP2 when you receive it rather than relying on the DWP retrieving the information, assuming they actually still have a copy, but it is up to you.

Hi lilliegez,

There are three instances where you need to specify time taken -

One of those is when time is specified in the descriptor (as with managing therapies)

The second is where you want to show that it takes you more than twice the 'normal' time to do something.

The third would be when you want to show that something happens for 'the majority of the time'.
