DLA to PIP help

Hello, I got the completed PIP2 form from the other welfare advice service and I cannot use it as they refer to me as my boyfriends MUM throughout. I've decided to fill the actual form in myself as I have done using this site for years. They send aPDF and I'm sceptical as to whether DWP will accept it despite the other site saying they widely accept PDF's.

Anyway, I prepare his meals for him and have put this on the form and tried to explain why, he has fibromyalgia with severe pain and fatigue and Anxiety and depression as well as poor grip in his left hand so is not safe to be moving hot saucepans etc. I have not said that he can use a microwave because he doesn't and I think he would still struggle to get a ready prepared meal ready as he has so little energy. he would probably live on cereal and chocolate if I didn't help him. I'm just concerned that it sounds a bit extreme even though it's true.

As regards your answers to the questions, all you can do is tell the truth. Don't forget to explain why your partner needs this help.

they also advised me not to use extra pages as "they don't scan them" I presume this means that they don't read extra pages....is this true is it a waste of time? Also said they take no notice of side effects....is this true? They said stick to the boxes on the form.

It's got me worried as there is no way I can condense it all into the small extra information boxes.

Thanks Gordon. I am at my wits end with all of this as I myself have mental health problems and am so worried that I'll fill in BF's PIP2 badly and he won't get it. Is it true that if you fail in your transfer from DLA to PIP that it triggers an ESA reassessment automatically?

Also in the guides it says dwp take no account of the fact a person can't carry heavy pans etc in the "cook yourself a simple meal section" is this coeeect or have I read it wrongly?

And what about assessors lying about you? Can the assessments be recorded? If so how?

Many people seem to be going through ESA and PIP assessments/reassessments at the same time. However, it is certainly not true to say that a failed PIP claim will automatically trigger an ESA reassessment.

You have understood the guide correctly. DWP attitude is that the claimant can fill a saucepan from a kettle and/or lift whatever is cooking out with a draining spoon rather than having to carry heavy pans around the kitchen.

It is possible for a PIP face2face to be recorded but the claimant must arrange this themselves. First, permission must be requested from the Assessment Provider in advance. Then the claimant must provide equipment to produce 2 identical recordings at the same time. This can be done using 2 old-fashioned cassette records, for instance, but digital recordings are not allowed.
