PIP assessment was created by nanniehelga
Hi , I've got a appointment next week for my PIP assessment I rarely go out and if I do I have someone with me because of my mental health. I'm so stressed out about it that I had an emergency consultation over the phone with my consultant.
Here's the thing someone said that I may loose points if I go to the assessment, surely this is wrong if I have already stated that when I do go out someone is with me at all times. I think that you'll loose points if you attend by yourself.
My stress levels are though the roof which is making my condition worse, so consultant has increased my meds do I mention this at review that is if I remember.
Any advice would be helpful for mental health
Thank you

You can ask for a home assessment but you will need your GP to write to the Assessment Provider to explain why you cannot attend at their offices.

Alternatively, take someone with you to the current appointment.

Attending at their offices without a companion will undermine any argument you have made that you cannot go out alone.
