Supporting medical evidence

My question is how long is it relevant to include supporting medical eveidence from medical professionals and supporting evidence of falls, self harming evidence, hospital stays etc that may have been included in his previous ESA & DLA ? Does including information that may be 5/6 years old help to help build a picture up of the severity and length of his ill health and his continuing problems ?
I understand that supporting evidence since his last essestment would be new and more relevant and also letters from his Heath professionals but does including older material hinder or help his case.

In general evidence that is more than two years old will be ignored unless you can show that it is still relevant to your son's conditions as they are now.
If your son has a condition that is stable or likely to deteriorate then information from 5 or 6 years ago can allow you to put a "stake in the ground" of how your son was, so it is worth including but I would be careful not to overwhelm those assessing with information that is inherently out of date.

I do understand your valid point about not overwhelming them with Irelevant nformation that is out of date but like you say if these accidents have arisen since previous DLA form was submitted and still relevant to current problem I take it that is ok ?
Apologies for not quite undestanding but like everyone I want to do the right thing and certainly want to take your advice and proceed accordingly. Thanks again

So to clarify, as he is still suffering from pains in his hips that have prevented him from walking without pain for over 12 years ( progressed worse now in wheel chair outdoors) and experiancng falls regularly, some that require hospital treatment. Is that what you mean as still relevant to his cndtuon now ? as, he is currently still suffering from this condition.
Yes
