PIP REVIEW was created by linda crampton
I first claimed PIP in November 2013. after a re-con and then an appeal I was finally awarded lower rate care for 3 years. The award was due to end on 18 Nov.2016, I received a letter from DWP in August asking me to get in touch if I wanted to make a new claim. When I finally got through in September I was told to ring a different number as they didn't deal with PIP reviews when I rang the other number they said I was too early and to ring back a week before the claim period ended, which I did. They then sent me a PIP2 -' How your disability affects you' and a new claim form. I rang to query this as your site says that an AR1 form { new from July 2016} is what I should have received to review my time limited award. I have spoken to 2 different people now at DWP neither of whom seem to know the review procedure, I am awaiting a call back from someone else now. Has anyone else been sent a new claim form when it should be a review form?

Welcome to the forum.

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

As your current award was made by a Tribunal then I would expect you to receive a PIP2 rather than an AR1, this appears to be issued to claimants where the DWP made the award and there is no reported Change of Circumstances.

You need to complete the PIP2 in detail as if it is a new claim, please refer to the latest PIP Claim guide, whilst there have been no changes to the Descriptors against which you will be reassessed there have been updates to the DWP guidance for several of the activities and in particular the Going Out one.
