I think they've lost my PIP2 form was created by mandy76
Hi

I have been in receipt of DLA for a number of years. I received my invitation to claim PIP and initiated my claim. I was then sent PIP2 form to return no later than 30/11/16. I returned my form on 21/11/16 as a signed for item and obtained proof of postage. I tracked the item and saw it had been received by DWP 22/11/16. I then received a letter dated 19/11/16 saying my form had not been received. I left it a few days, thinking it had crossed in the post, and telephoned DWP. They said my form was not on their system and as of yesterday this was the same situation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and gave him the tracking number. He said the timescale would be extended by 14 days and if the form isn't located they would have to send me another form to complete and they said they would allow me more time to complete it. Whilst all this is recorded on their system I am deeply concerned as there was a vast amount of sensitive information enclosed such as numerous psychiatric reports. Should I wait the 14 days or should I insist they get on and send me another PIP2? And, should I be worried about my sensitive personal data having gone missing?

Did you copy the PIP2 before you sent it in? If you did then you can ask whether this would be an accepted replacement. If not then you will have to wait to see what happens.

One thing you might do is echo back to the DWP what you were told on the phone, send it to the DWP office that is dealing with your claim.

Thank you Gordon

I didn't copy the form but I do have all the information I put on the form saved plus copies of all the medical evidence I enclosed. The address I was instructed to send it back to was PIP9, Post Handling Site B, Wolverhampton WV99 1AG. I don't know the office dealing with my claim. How do I find out which office is dealing with my claim? I am getting myself into a terrible state over it all.

It will be on the letter informing you that your form was missing.

Hi Gordon and thank you.

I checked address on letter from DWP. It's the same address as where I sent my completed PIP2 form - PIP9 Post Handling Site B, Wolverhampton etc.

My husband rang DWP again today only to be told my PIP2 had not been found but someone has been tasked with tracking it down. They have assured him that my claim will not be disallowed as they know my form was received.

My husband told them he'd ring Monday and if it hasn't been located wanted another form sending. My husband asked for the address of office dealing with my claim so we could send a copy directly to them. He was told it was impossible and any correspondence sent directly to Blackpool etc., gets diverted back to post handling site in Wolverhampton as everything has to be scanned and they don't use paper records.

They need to take better care of people's sensitive personal data?

Yes, DWP have made it pretty impossible for the claimant to contact the DM personally or the specific office.
