The Rightsnet web site is reporting that the Minister for Disabled People is extending the Motability Scheme to claimants not on an Enhanced mobility award.
They also say the minister is considering allowing Motability customers to keep their cars while an appeal is underway.
Motability must be complaining about that amount of business they're losing!!

Some critical points on this.
This was not an announcement of what is going to happen, in fact it formed part of a reply to unrelated question!
The Minister does not appear to have talked to either the DWP or Motability about the change!
So to be clear, nothing is happening and if it does happen, it's unlikely to be soon.
