In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Yes, we have members who have made a successful claim for PIP due to the effects of fibromyalgia. However, you should bear in mind that PIP will be awarded (or not) due to your care and/or mobility needs, not because of a specific diagnosis.
Have a look at our PIP guide which explains the process and the criteria against which you will be measured.
PIP help for claimants
Is this a brand new claim or a switch from DLA? If you are currently on DLA you need to be aware that the criteria for the 2 benefits are very different.
May I suggest that you bookmark/favouorite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it makes things easier for us - and I hope you will find it useful too
