Thank you for that.

We have been informed today that the letter may not be completed until 12 January for us to check!

Hi Gordon,

We have been informed today that the letter may not be completed until 12 January for us to check!

I presume all we can do is to remind the GP of the tight time scale (which he was always aware of) in the hope that we don't have to wait until 12 January to check it??

The letter was promised between Christmas and the New Year .. but told today that it may not be completed until 12 January!

It just adds to the stress!

Hi Gordon,

You previously mentioned:
Based on the dates you have posted, your GP letter needs to be with the DWP no later 19 January but I would advise you to have it with them no later that the 12th if you can.

With the timing of Christmas and GP being on leave during that time it is hoped that the letter will be seen and checked then with the DWP by Mon 16th. I know that this is later than you suggested (and what we would have liked) but it's not through lack of trying to hurry the process along! It's been a stressful time!!

In light of this, should we be doing anything more than just trying to make sure it is with DWP by Mon 16th? Do we need to update DWP further?
The last line of the MR letter that was sent stated (from the MR letter template from one of the Appeals guides):
Further evidence of my disabilities and how they affect me will be submitted as soon as possible.

I will include a covering letter with the GP letter (once we have it) and include name and NI number on everything sent. Would you advise that we also attach a copy of the MR letter that was sent on 22/12?

Re Covering letter ... does it just needs to say Further to the MR, please find attached ... ??

Many thanks,
Wendy

Wendy

You could ring the DWP and ask them to note on the file that the report/letter should be with them by the 16th.

It can't hurt (for both).
