Hi Gordon,
Apologies for a further question!
I just need to check that my understanding is correct. My sister and I completed the MR on my Dad's behalf (we've obviously asked him questions when he's able to discuss and double-checked content etc). Dad has then signed the letter. We didn't note this in the MR that we had done this ... did we need to?
I think previously I read somewhere that as long as the claimant signs the letter then how it has come about (whatever source of help) is irrelevant ... but is that correct?
The reason for mentioning now is that if we should have said something about this then it can be included in the covering letter that we'll need to send (mentioned previously).
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Wendy

The primary issue at this stage is your having authority to act on his behalf, which you don't, so all actions must be confirmed by your father.
If he has issues providing written testimony due his physically or mental problems then you need to explain how this is being managed, but at this stage I would not expect it to be an issue.

Hi Gordon,
So I don't need to mention anything ... just get Dad to sign the typed letter as normal?
