I'm afraid not.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hello,
Citizen's advice bureau can send guidance info to your GP but in my area I have found them too slow to respond within the 4-6 weeks allowed as they are overwhelmed. They also insist on letters & I've realised that DWP don't play that way & insist on phone contact.
THERE IS a very helpful sample of the medical report that the assessor is meant to send to GP for further medical evidence somewhere in the PIP guide (but it seems they often don't bother to do this!). I expect Gordon can pinpoint where.
Initially my GP said he would wait for the request for further medical evidence before writing in. I think this is the standard BMA line now. I explained & begged. I said it was essential there were no inconsistences between my form & medical evidence. I quoted many examples from the forum of the HP not calling for medical evidence, leading to errors & 49 deaths. I showed him the list of descriptors & points as well. Bless him he wrote a very thorough report which I paid a contribution towards. There were very specific dates & factual evidence taken from my medical records.
Word of warning: don't write in & ask the GP as an appeal body might construe this as coaching. Ask in person & show B&W legal guidance.
The assessor would also like to see your diary to prove how much of the day(24 hr period) is affected. Needs to be at least 50% for some descriptors. There is a sample one in the guides or one in the CAB website.
Sorry this is a bit long. Hope it helps.
