I was visited by an ATOS nurse this morning. Nothing wrong with that you might think, But, I did not know she was coming, nor did I know that I was due to have a medical. I have had absolutely no communication from ATOS about a medical. She told me that they have written to me and attempted to telephone me numerous times. I have had no calls or letters.
My question is ....
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I was totally unprepared for this medical, and will probably end up having to go to appeal.

Usually, when appointment letters are no received it is for an appointment at the ATOS's offices so you were lucky that it was a home appointment and you were in.
They obviously have your address correct as the assessor turned up, have you had any problems with the mail deliveries recently?

There is a Close and a Place with the same first name of my address. When I receive letters for them I post them through their door, But perhaps my letters are being 'binned'. I have complained to Royal Mail, but still this happens.

Hi Charll,
I hope it doesn't have to go to appeal, but if it does make sure the tribunal are aware that you were totally unprepared for the visit.
I'm sure most people in your position would have had a lot of additional helpful information they would not be able to prepare or think of on the spot.
