I hope that this info will greatly help others:

Like Kate (previous post) my NEXT DAY BY 1pm "arrived" one day late. Posted on 05 for delivery 06 and logged as received 07. Conincidence or an insight into the way this organisation is operating?!

This method may not accurately track your item to the recipient - because it relies on somebody at the receiving end scanning a barcode on the sack of post to electronically confirm reciept. It appears that my letter was in a sack that got 'overlooked'. Five days from posting and my item is still 'on its way' according to RM. I intend to claim my postage back, the service wasn't as promised. Obviously.

Finally with the DWP still insisting that it's not received today but then asking my oh to call the healthcare assessment service to check... and finding out that yes they did have it and the DWP systems should have been updated to show this fact according to (maximus)? Why would DWP ask us to call them unless they know something we don't... like the healthcare people aren't notifying the DWP, just like they aren't processing the sacks of mail the same day they get it or scanning barcodes.

Something to think about:
Allow at least two days for it to 'get there' if you send it next day d elivery (or longer maybe). There is a lack of honesty going on somewhere on this received confirmation I'm sure.
Don't rely on Royal Mail tracking even if you paid for it and claim it back if tracking doesn't work because if enough people kick up a stink Royal Mail may revise the degree of trust they give these people.
If DWP haven't got it I bet the healthcare lot have. Or have lost it.

Well, my stock of emergency diazepam has been hit hard. It's been horrendous.

I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but partner trawled the internet and told me the exact same thing is happening over and over again to other people so... ITS. COMMON PRACTISE!!!!!

This organisation is a swine.

I am so glad that this is finally resolved for you - but what an absolute shambles the system is!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
