I am 66 years old, very ill with many auto immune diseases, no thyroid due to Hashimoto's, unable to walk as have scoliosis and lumber fractures, metal plates, and monitored for Parkinson's. I pay into this site every year waiting for assessment. All this time and nothing yet as not in my area yet. I get muddled as have problems with memory too. And i feel like strangling the next person who says i wont be assessed as i am over 65, as its not true, only if you were born in 1948 are you free from it and keep your DLA. How much longer do i wait and pay, all i did on here was take the pip test, other than that could you please tell me what i am missing and needing. thank you. x
I'm afraid there is no way to know when you will be invited to claim PIP as claimants are being chosen at random so it could be tomorrow or in two years time.
Your only other option is to make a claim yourself, but this of course means that you will have to give up your current DLA award early which you may not want to do.
