Hi Jan,

What to expect at the face2face is explained in the ESA guide, along with an explanation of the descriptors against which your sister is being assessed.

There's a section at the back of the ESA Claim guides that covers the assessment.

thanks for the advice, my sister is so worried about her assessment as if you look at her she is ok but she has an anmeuysum (which I no is not spelt right) in her head so apart from that and the fact she forgets a lot she is ok.

it is not a doctors who is seeing her so I don't understand how they can assess someone without being a doctor or having all the facts about her and the amneurysum.

Jan

It's not a medical but a functional assessment so there is no specific requirement for the assessor to be a doctor, you cannot assume that they are not capable of performing this as they have been trained to a standard set by the DWP, the reality may be different but you will not be able to raised it as an issue until you have seen the assessment report.
