M.R. waiting time was created by pam66
Hello, I have been waiting for the MR decision since Early September, and, am finding thee whole process very stressful as I feel they have my future in their hands, I phoned last week and felt while waiting I actually had a panic attack, i have never had one before and was quite frightening, i was told to phone back this week and just the htought of phoning is making me panicky, never in my life have any event left me feeling so stressed.
I am asking for advice of what to say regarding the time its taking to get a desiccion
thanks

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
Unfortunately there is no set time in which DWP must have the MR completed However, we would expect you to have heard something by now!
Can someone else phone for you next time? You would have to be on hand to give security details but they should then speak to whoever else it is.
My only other suggestion is to involve your MP. They cannot interfere with the decision process but it is amazing how often files come to the top of the pile once an MP contacts DWP!
Contacting your MP
May I suggest that you favourite/bookmark this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your claim without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
