DLA to PIP medical evidence. was created by LadyLuna
The brown envelope arrived today so I phoned the number and spoken to the automiton on the other end.

I did the PIP test on here and should get 12 points on the mobility side. I think I got 4 on daily care.

I originally had DLA for an arm injury which still troubles me a lot to this day. Since that time my weight and mobility have come into play.

I gather this has been tripped by my MR. I am quite scared about it. Do they do home visit assessments for that too?

LL

I doubt it was triggered by the MR, claimants are selected at random to be invited to claim PIP.

Home assessments are available for PIP but you will need your GP to write a letter why you cannot attend at the Assessment Provider's offices.

Will the one written in October this year suffice?

You can try it but a fresh one would be better.

Ok Thank you.

One other question, the guy on the phone asked me if I agree to DWP having full access to my medical records. He said I didn't have to agree, so I said no explaining I would never give such consent about things over the telephone.

Was this Ok?

What's done is done - and I can't say I blame you when it was phrased like that!

There will be a chance on the PIP2 form to name the medics you would like to be contacted (not that they probably will contact anyone!).
