PIP initial telephone interview.

Hi I have just received my invitation to transfer from DLA to pip. The letter tells me that I have to ring them by the 20th December and has a short list of questions. I have no problem with these as they seem straightforward. What I would like to know is am I likely to get asked any questions that are not listed in the letter so I can be prepared for them. Any guidance people can offer will be very appreciated.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - I hope you will find it useful too

can I just say, if I were you I would not ring until the last day or two of the window they have given you

because I STUPIDLY rang within a few days of getting that letter - and when I received my PIP form, I had one month to return it - starting from the date I had made that phone call

if I had left it the extra couple of weeks, it would have given me that time to read up on the documents on this site, and prepare what I was going to write, BEFORE the one month clock had started ticking

just my thoughts on my own circumstances

Just received my letter today & feeling quite stressed! However seeing the reply from Walker has settled my nerves a little:

I have until 1st Jan - Great start to the year! Will have a read up on the guides etc, and will phone in the week between xmas & New Year at least I will be able to get some focus.

Have already been mulling it over, and came to the same reasoning - So think will ring the week leading up to Xmas, which still gives me a couple of weeks digest all the info in the guide!
